I have loved watching this little family grow.  This is the 3rd session that I have done with them.  For this session I went to their house and had a blast.  Here are some of my favorites.

My family that lives in Utah was in town this last weekend and since all of the grandkids were together we decided to do a portrait session.  Obviously, I am a big believer in family portraits and as often as possible and sometimes I am met by some resistance, but it is ALWAYS worth it.  And once we are done and everyone sees the results they are really happy that I insisted.  But it is definitely not easy while we are doing them.  Just because it is my family, doesn't mean everyone cooperates perfectly.  My poor little niece has a double ear infection and was in no mood to have her picture taken.  And my little baby boy, well, is a 4 month old ever in a mood to do pictures?  But I LOVE the results.  They are a pretty good looking group if I do say so myself.

My little Leo is still at that awkward baby phase at 4 months old.  At 6 months is the perfect time for baby pictures, they are starting to sit up on their own and really smile and laugh.  He was sliding out of that chair like crazy, but it was still pretty cute :)

0189.jpgMy sister doesn't buy the pictures that they take at school anymore, we just do a couple of cute sessions during the year.  Much, much better.  This is sweet little Amanda.  She is almost 13.

Oh to be sixteen and adorable again!  I LOVE shooting this age group, they are just so cute and I am always so happy with how they turn out.  I did Kylee's senior portraits last year and I was so excited when she emailed me about doing her best friends sweet sixteen pictures plus some "best friend" pictures.  Such sweet girls!

Do you know how dependent on technology we are?  You really don't realize it until something happens like your computer dies.  Yes, my computer completely gave up the ghost last week and I was lost.  All of my weddings and other shoots are stored elsewhere (and backed up), thank goodness, but everything on my desktop was gone, including my emails and calendar (so hard to get through a day without those).  Best Buy was able to restore a lot of what was there, but any programs that I had were completely gone and that has been the hardest part.  Re-installing, remember everything that I had on there, calling/emailing to get passwords and activation codes again.  Finally, finally, I think I am back up and running at a semi-normal pace.  Yes, and we learned everything the hard way.  Get an online back-up for your computer!!!!  This process would have been FAR less painful with that.

Anyways, so I am pretty far behind on editing (it's kinda hard without Photoshop).  But I was able to edit a couple of weddings and shoots and I wanted to get up a preview.  There is so much more to come.  This summer has been crazy busy and I have so many amazing images that I want to share.

First is Bryan and Lynn's wedding.  It was held at a Barn in Oxnard.  Soooo beautiful, plus they are such an amazing couple.  It was such a pleasure to be a part of their day.
0130.jpgI loved this shot from their wedding.  I edited how I normally do, but then I I decided to have a little fun with it.  I love the feeling of the picture.
0147.jpg0181.jpgKent and Maika were married at the Newport Beach LDS Temple.  They are such a sweet couple.  Kent is from Logan, Utah, where my sister lives!  Carlos and I are going up there this next week and I am going to be able to do some bridals for Maika.  I can't wait!
0207.jpg0273.jpg0381.jpgA year ago I was able to do some family portraits for the Pratt Family,  when cute little William was only a baby.  I love when I can watch as little families grow, such a fun part of my job.  They will be welcoming a little baby girl into their family in November!  So exciting!
0100.jpg0106.jpg0107.jpgApril teaches  the viola and violin and she called me to help her with some pictures for her new website.  I was so excited and a little nervous, I had never done anything like that before.  But I am SO excited with the results.  April is SO fun and if anyone is looking for a teacher, let me know and I will send you her way.
